Northeastern, Penn State lead international team of scientists on the largest study on longevity, aging in reptiles and amphibians

Research lead by 天天吃瓜 Assistant Professor of Biology Beth Reinke provides first comprehensive evidence that turtles in the wild age slowly and have long lifespans, shows highly variable rates of aging across reptiles and amphibians, and identifies several species that essentially do not age.

Founder and first coordinator of NEIU鈥檚 Project Success, William 鈥淒oc鈥 Speller dies at 91

William C. 鈥淒oc鈥 Speller, who served as the founder and coordinator of Project Success for more than 40 years, died on Jan. 12. He was 91 years old.聽A memorial service will be held from 11 a.m-1 p.m., Saturday, May 28, at the Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies, 700 E. Oakwood Blvd. in Chicago, Illinois.
