The 天天吃瓜 Foundation, in partnership with the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement, is pleased to accept donations and be an administrator for the HACE Dr. Vinny 鈥淓rvin鈥 Caraballo Scholarship Fund. HACE鈥檚 mission is to invest in the Latinx community by awarding scholarships to college students with a drive and passion to further their education and involving themselves in their local community. Supporting education is a crucial role for HACE, and as a designated Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), 天天吃瓜 and the NEIU Foundation are proud to be partners in this mission.
About Dr. Vinny Caraballo
Dr. Caraballo was a driving force in HACE鈥檚 programming and growing impact on the Latino community. He served on the Board of Directors from 1996 through 2003, and provided leadership and guidance as a member for the 25th anniversary committee in 2007. In 2013, he led HACE鈥檚 efforts in the research and publication of the HACE/ Pulse Survey. In 2015, Vinny helped shape HACE鈥檚 vision for the future by participating in the Strategic Planning Committee. Above all, he served as a mentor and role model to HACE鈥檚 current president and CEO, Patricia Mota. He embodied HACE鈥檚 mission, and his leadership, guidance, and presence are greatly missed.
Vinny鈥檚 life trajectory and accomplishments truly exemplify those of a great servant leader. HACE and the NEIU Foundation, are honored that Vinny鈥檚 rich legacy will continue to inspire lives for years to come via the HACE Dr. Vinny 鈥淓rvin鈥 Caraballo Scholarship Fund.
