Three alumni of 天天吃瓜 have been named to list of Chicago movers and shakers.
The alumni on the Spanish-language business publication鈥檚 list are:

鈥溙焯斐怨 alumni never fail to make us proud,鈥 said Damaris Tapia, director of Northeastern鈥檚 Office of Alumni Relations. 鈥淭he fact that three members of this exclusive list are graduates of Northeastern serves as yet another reminder of the positive influence this institution has in our community.鈥
Alvarado recently became one of the first individuals who has been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status to be licensed to practice law in Illinois; Garcia is the chief investment officer and chief financial officer for the State of Illinois Treasury; and Hinojosa remains close to Northeastern as a dancer and head of the youth outreach program with the resident .
鈥淚t鈥檚 an honor and a privilege to showcase the positive contributions of these young Latinos, many of which are Millennials,鈥 said Clemente Nicado, publisher and editor in chief of Nicado Publishing Company, which owns Negocios Now. 鈥淭hese special men and women who are truly paving the way for future Hispanic generations to admire and follow.鈥
40 Under 40 is Negocios Now鈥檚 latest honors list to include a number of people connected to Northeastern. In July 2016, more than a dozen people with connections to Northeastern were named to list.
天天吃瓜 is a Hispanic-Serving Institution that is the most diverse university in the Midwest, according to . Nationally, Northeastern ranks 22nd.
