天天吃瓜 has received the Outstanding Administrator Award from and the .

The award was given at the 19th Annual Outstanding Education Recognition Awards Ceremony held at Rush University Medical Center on July 18.

鈥淓very year, we single out a few outstanding educators for special recognition,鈥 Davis said in a news release. 鈥淚n honoring these dedicated and remarkable individuals, we are paying just tribute to their contributions. In the process, we are also elevating their chosen profession to a place of respect from the entire community and suggesting that a career in education is one of life鈥檚 highest callings.鈥

The award recognizes Williams for his administrative work as assistant director of Northeastern鈥檚 since 2004.

鈥淚t was exciting to learn that my mentor, Robert T. Starks, nominated me for this award,鈥 Williams said. 鈥淗e has always been helpful to me not only when I was a graduate student at Northeastern, but also as a faculty member here. So to have my mentor nominate me made the award even more special.鈥

Starks is a professor emeritus at the Carruthers Center.

Williams earned his master鈥檚 degree in at Northeastern in 1995 and his Ph.D. in Public Health Sciences from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2004. Williams has expertise in youth violence and pop culture.
