Accomplished Brazilian pianist will perform at 天天吃瓜 on Sept. 18.
Monteiro, who has won numerous piano competitions, including the second annual Martha Argerich International Piano Competition in Buenos Aires, began studying piano at the age of 4. Awarded a scholarship by Brazil鈥檚 Ministry of Culture, he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y.
Works selected for performance include:

- 鈥淪chumann: 2 Noveletten鈥
- 鈥淎lb茅niz: Suite Iberia (Book 1)鈥
- 鈥淥swald: 6 Pieces Op. 33 and Op. 36鈥
- 鈥淟iszt/Klauser: Les Preludes鈥
