天天吃瓜鈥檚 location will host the beginning Feb. 11. The five-week festival will consist of five unique films from different Spanish-speaking countries.

鈥淭he films are all very recent, five from Latin America and one from Spain, and all speak to contemporary issues ranging from sexual and ethnic identity (鈥淏ad Hair鈥), to transnational migration (鈥淗ere and There鈥 and 鈥淲ho is Dayani Cristal?鈥), adult education (鈥淚lliterate鈥), and aging (鈥淲rinkles鈥) through thoughtful and oftentimes suspenseful dramas,鈥 professor and department chair said.

The fest is free and open to the public. All screenings begin at 6:10 p.m. in Room 201 at El Centro, 3390 N. Avondale Ave. Here is the schedule of the film screenings:
