颁丑颈肠补驳辞鈥檚 bike-sharing service will install a docking station adjacent to the 天天吃瓜 main campus in the spring of 2015, the program announced Thursday, Aug. 21.

The move is part of a greater expansion project that will take the service as far north as Touhy Avenue, as far south as 75th Street and as far west as Pulaski Road.

While the expansion is subject to change, Divvy currently plans to install a station on the west side of St. Louis Avenue, just north of Balmoral Avenue.

Divvy also plans to install stations at Christiana and Lawrence avenues near the Kimball Brown Line stop, at Kedzie and Bryn Mawr avenues, and at Kedzie and Foster avenues.

鈥淚t鈥檚 exciting,鈥 said Northeastern business manager for facilities management David Rubin, who was involved in expansion talks with Divvy.

The service鈥檚 growth into the neighborhood will give students more commuting options, particularly from the Kimball Brown Line stop, Rubin said.

Near Northeastern鈥檚 El Centro location, which is scheduled to open Sept. 20, Divvy plans to install a station at Kimball and Belmont avenues adjacent to the Belmont Blue Line station.

A Divvy station already exists near Northeastern鈥檚 Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies at Cottage Grove Avenue and Oakwood Boulevard.
