The has announced details for its . The event will be held from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 and Friday, Sept. 23. Participants can attend in person at NEIU鈥檚 El Centro, located at 3390 N. Avondale Ave., and virtually via Zoom.
This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥.鈥 There will be various presentations on both days and information will be provided in English, Spanish, Cantonese, and American Sign Language

The Chicago Cancer Health Equity Collaborative (ChicagoCHEC) is a National Cancer Institute comprehensive cancer partnership led by the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, 天天吃瓜, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. ChicagoCHEC鈥檚 mission is to advance cancer health equity through meaningful scientific discovery, education, training, and community engagement.
鈥淪ince 2017, ChicagoCHEC has made great strides in reducing cancer health inequities across Chicago and particularly for NEIU, by creating new and innovative educational and research opportunities for students, faculty and whenever possible, for university staff and NEIU's surrounding community,鈥 said Christina Ciecierski, Principal Investigator of ChicagoCHEC and Professor of Economics at 天天吃瓜.
In honor of the late and his relentless commitment to cancer health equity, cancer prevention and control, and leadership in population health, ChicagoCHEC is dedicating this event to his memory.
