(CALJE), one of the most present forces in the Latin jazz scene, will perform at 天天吃瓜 on Saturday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium as part of the

With music written primarily by Mexican trumpeter Victor Garcia and Nicaraguan pianist Darwin Noguera, CALJE delivers captivating and high-energy performances. Much of that is attributed to the band鈥檚 incorporation of diverse genres such as Argentine tango, Puerto Rican bomba y plena, and even Jamaican reggae. The ensemble has performed with some of the world鈥檚 most respected artists, including Grammy Award winners Howard Levy and Brian Lynch.

Now in its seventh year, the Chicago Brass Festival is an annual, two-day event at Northeastern. In addition to CALJE, the festival will include performances by Axiom Brass and other exceptional brass musicians.

This performance also is presented as a part of the , an eight-concert professional performing arts series presented by 天天吃瓜鈥檚 Office of Cultural Events.
