天天吃瓜鈥檚 will showcase desktop 3-D printing objects from Chicago-based artists and Holly Holmes through July 24.
鈥淐opy Shop鈥 features a significant number of works whose source material has been 3-D scanned and remixed digitally prior to being 3-D printed.
Members of the Northeastern community are invited to bring small objects to the gallery and have them 3-D scanned, printed and added to the exhibition. Participants in 鈥淐opy Shop鈥 will receive a 3-D printed copy of the object they had scanned in recognition of their help in the exhibit.
How does the process work? Check out a demonstration using the MakerBot Replicator 2 machine.
