Sandra Beyda-Lorie (Ph.D. Purdue University) is Professor at 天天吃瓜鈥檚 Department of Special Education in Chicago, Illinois, and has served as Department Chair since 2008. In collaboration with program faculty she has supported the expansion of the department鈥檚 high quality program offerings to include an advanced master鈥檚 degree in special education (LBS II), the university鈥檚 first online program leading to special education (LBS I) endorsement, and a second undergraduate night program at the University鈥檚 El Centro location. She considers herself a servant leader dedicated to developing and facilitating undergraduate and graduate learning experiences that position program graduates to transform the lives of individuals with disabilities. Her research focus is special educator and administrative practices that honor the social and emotional development of students with exceptional learning needs and simultaneously facilitate positive academic learning outcomes.
